Mark Kreider

Hello! I'm an ecologist who cares about creating equitable, useful, and multidisciplinary science. I'm a Postdoctoral Research Scientist working with the Forest Service Pacific Southwest Research Station, and have a PhD in Forest and Conservation Science. My research focuses on understanding the natural role of wildfire, how ecosystems and societies respond to disturbance, and how to make protect public lands while ensuring access for all. I'm passionate about linking art and science to communicate my work in accessible and engaging ways.
